The Folks
It's been a great 3 weeks. Instead of me & Bing visiting South Africa this year we figured we'd get my parents over here instead, so for the last 3 weeks they've been staying with us and experiencing what London has to offer! They also took a break for the week in the middle where they rented a car and visited Bath, Bristol and a bit of Wales. If it weren't for that our one bedroom flat may have felt a bit claustrophobic with 4 people in it! Our washing mashine was working overtime as well.
We snuck in a little trip to Paris for a few days during the first week as an extra. Was very exciting for me and Bing because we've also never been. It was really beautiful there. Stories of French people being rude are not all true either - though maybe because I was careful to always start with a "bonjour" instead of just assuming they could speak English.
The great thing about tourists visiting is you get to do the stuff you've never done in London either including seeing the changing of the guards, the National Gallery, the Museum of London and a whole lot more.
All in all a good 3 weeks and the folks could finally see where we live. I think they had a good time too :)
Think my friends are getting a little scared to get me started on our holiday lest they have to hit me over the head with a blunt object to shut me up. Thanks for a great couple of weeks.

There is no place like the Old Country. What the hell got into my forebears to come to this forsaken country I'll never know. Seriously though, thanks Dave & Bing. Sharing your space so generously with the old folks says it all. You are both wonderful people. I can't remember when I last had such fun. Totally memorable experience.
