Random update

I must apologise for the recent lack of information here, over the years my posting has slowed down from once every 1 or two days, to once a week, to now nearly once a month. Poor form. Life hasn't stood still of course, lots of stuff going on, but sitting down to write something is quite an investment of time :-P

I've been doing a lot of pondering lately, about my career and future life. My job is getting me down a bit at the moment, all a bit pointless, tiresome, repetitive, soul sapping and eating away at my self-esteem. At first I figured it was just because I was back from holiday but I realised I've been feeling demotivated for at least 6 months. Definitely time to look for something else, since it'll be at least another year before we can move anywhere. Might as well be happy in my job during that time. Entering the job market after all this time though is a bit daunting, been at the Beeb for 4 and a half years now, hard to believe.

Otherwise, things are good. Bing is doing well and getting on with her studies, and life with her is great. We're trying to save money at the moment so that when we do move somewhere, we can at least have a good start. We'll most likely be looking at Canada and New Zealand as possible places to live and work in.

Also, it was my birthday a few weeks ago. Happy birthday to me.
