Another van Zijl!
I received two phone calls last night from my brother John. The first was to say that his wife Petro was in labour and then another one about 5 hours later to tell me that I was now the proud uncle of a little girl! I was extremely happy to hear the news so congratulations both of you! I'm sure you've got your hands full with the new baby and also keeping Luke happy so you won't read this for some time... anyway welcome to the family Carol Leia van Zijl.
Before Luke was born we all figured it had to be a boy because we couldn't imagine it being a girl - a smaller version of John "devil" would have to be a boy! But I bet Carol will be extremely cute, and I should probably think of her as a small version of Petro... instead of a small version of John in a dress ;)

Yup, she is about the cutest thing I've ever seen. And at the moment she looks like a baby wrapped in a blanket - but I have no doubt that within a few months, she will look like a lovely little baby girl - who looks a lot like Luke (but in a feminine way, of course;P )
Congratulations, John and Petro. ^^ I saw the picture you guys sent to Dave -- that's soooo lovely!! wish I could hold her too!! ^^
