DSat project progress

Good news! The project I've been tirelessly working on for the past 3 months was demonstrated to the project commissioners today. I can't tell you the specific details because then I'd have to kill you, but suffice to say that it received a warm reception. I think we've probably secured funding to take it forward which will keep me entertained, and in a job, for the next few months at least. We'll be spending a few weeks developing a plan for going ahead before they make any kind of concrete decision but I think it is looking really good. I'm quite relieved the demonstration is over because after working towards something for so long you worry that it will fail when you need it most (i.e. during the demo) but it worked like a charm!

So I've just had 2 beers to celebrate with some of my project buddies and relevant involved technical managers and we'll be going for a few more tonight. When it's launched I'll tell you exactly what the project is, but I probably can't do that here right now, you never know who stumbles across my stupid blog.
