La Niña Almendra’s career DJing began in Guatemala six years ago. Despite the countless obstacles based on her gender, La Niña Almendra aka LNA has established herself within Guatemala. As a touring artist in all major cities within her home country, LNA’s brand earned her the Guatemala “Female Entrepreneur of the Year” award in 2017.  Now, she is helping La Real Academia Del Ripio (RAR), an underground Latin music event originating in Guatemala, to showcase the talents of women involved in planning, promoting, and DJing.

Tonight, Wednesday, March 27th, RAR will make their U.S. debut with a lineup exclusively comprised of talented women spinning everything from moombahton to cumbia to Latin trap. With a fierce dedication to promoting women DJs, LNA hopes to continue this one-night event every two months, showcasing the diversity of Latinx music.

Advanced tickets can be purchased for $10 here. Tickets are $20 at the door so be sure to scoop them now! Doors open at 9PM PST and the party doesn’t end until 2AM! Be sure to bring your dancing shoes as the groove tonight will be undeniable.
