Fortress Fest is scheduled to take place April 29th and 30th in Fort Worth’s Cultural District. The two-day event will showcase Margin Walker’s booking abilities, and will make them a larger player in the North Texas music scene.

The 2017 lineup features national headliners and local names. Run the Jewels and Purity Ring are the festival heavyweights, accompanied by Flying Lotus, Slowdive, Nathaniel Rateliff & the Night Sweats, Alvvays, and many more. Sudie, Bobby Sessions, and Sam Lao are just a few examples of the local talent that Margin Walker is bringing in.

Separated in two main phases, the first day is the party day, starting with Ronnie Heart and Cure for Paranoia, and ending with Run the Jewels. The second day, Sunday, is a little mellower. Sudie and Dengue Fever open the day up, and Purity Ring brings an end to both the second day and the festival.

Logistically speaking, the festival stages are located at two cultural centers in Fort Worth, almost right across the street from each other. The Will Rogers stage is located (as the name would imply) outside the Will Rogers Memorial Center, and the Modern stage is a low-profile stage on the reflecting pond outside the museum, which will feature a light show intended to interact with the water and the museum.

Single-day passes are $65, and GA weekend passes are $105. The VIP options are (obviously) more expensive—a single day VIP pass is $145 and weekend VIP passes are $275. Full access to the Modern Museum of Art’s galleries comes included with GA and VIP passes, but VIP guests also get to attend exclusive events, watch from premium viewing areas, park for free, and receive other discounts and benefits.
