As autumn creeps closer and closer, electronic music fans have begun craving a darker sound. Thankfully enough, Kenton Slash Demon has just shared the spooky Red Axes remix of their current single “Peace”.

The remix has a definitive dark and extraterrestrial feel to it; it perfectly compliments the single’s sci-fi themed music video. The Red Axes rework follows the release of UK producer Lone’s remix at the end of last month. Both versions of the single will be included on Kenton Slash Demon’s “Peace” Remix EP, with the EP’s scheduled release for Sept. 2 on Future Classic.

“Peace” is the latest addition to a collection of highly praised releases by Kenton Slash Demon for Future Classic. Other reputable works by the duo include the “Harpe/Syko” and “TT/Dok” EPs. Composed of Silas Moldenhawer and Jonas Kenton, Kenton Slash Demon was attempting to create something futuristic yet classic with “Peace.” Evidence of this idea can be heard in the single’s fusion of 70’s rock and disco with a modern club beat.

“It’s definitely the most pop-ish thing we’ve done so far but we feel that crafting music that sticks out from more classic underground club tracks is also a part of our DNA. It’s dance music but too slow to really work in a classic club environment and that’s what we really liked about it – that it places itself between being a ‘song’ and a club track.” – Kenton Slash Demon

With such an incredibly unique sound, it’s no surprise that the duo has been receiving lots of recognition for their recent creations. In terms of media coverage, the group has now been featured in Stereogum, The Line of Best Fit, SPIN, Thump, Time Out New York, Wonderland, FACT and XLR8R. When it comes to promotion of their music, they’ve been spun on KCRW, BBC Radio 1 & 6 Music and received placement on the Spotify Viral U.S, Australia, and Global charts. Sir Elton John also played them on his “Rocket Hour” show for Beats 1.
