Hailing from London and Toronto respectively, The Swoons, an electro-pop duo, combine both organic and electronic elements to deliver their newly-released single ‘Sabre’.

The duo consists of Matt Underwood and Tony Ann who are both studying at the renowned Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. There they met LA-based producer Deafkulture whom they collaborated with on Sabre and will continue to collaborate with to produce their debut EP this coming fall. The fused duo opens Sabre with beautifully executed soft, angelic vocals that sharply recreate intense emotion of falling in love with a gorgeous blend of indie peaks and electronic transitions with their use of lush synths, reverb-drenched piano chords and driving kick drum; almost recreating the sound of a heart beat.  There is clearly a mystical quality to Sabre with the naturally breathtaking vocals, this track cuts deeper than most released electronic tracks with its meaningful, heartfelt lyrics which complement a whole new depth of sound. This track manages to be both upbeat and dark all at the same time. The Swoons are definitely one to keep on your radar and one listen will make you fall in love.
