MSTRKRFT To Hypnotize Dancefloors Across the US Courtney O'ConnorThursday, April 28, 2016Electro0 Comments8 views MSTRKRFT Breaks Hiatus with US Tour Dates After 5 years of hiding out from the limelight, MSTRKRFT, AKA Jesse F. Keeler & Al-P, broke back onto the scene with their new single, “Little Red Hen” in March. Soon following this, they announced they’ll be back with an assortment of live shows and DJ sets spanning across the US, and including a cheeky hop into Canada for a quick show in June. Their tour was foreshadowed by scattered sets at SXSW, leaving many wanting more of their mind-numbing synths to move to. When and Where to Find the Pair The guys will be jumping into June on the 1st in Washington D.C. to start off the live portion of their tour. This part includes Boston, MA (The Middle East on June 2nd), Chicago, Il (Double Door on June 4th), San Francisco, CA (The Independent on June 10th), & Los Angeles, CA (Exchange on June 11th). Sprinkled amongst these dates are two DJ sets in Ottawa, ON (Ritual Nightclub on June 3rd) and Denver, CO (Club Vinyl on June 8th). Tickets go on sale at 12PM, Friday the 29th, so snag yours before they sell out. What to Expect at MSTRKRFT’s Sets On top of the progressive electro beats we’ve come to expect from MSTRKRFT, you can expect some crossover with some of your favorite artists you may not expect to blend so splendidly with the pair’s eery sound. They’ve got tracks featuring E-40, John Legend, Ghostface Killah, and remixes honed in on perfectly by artists such as Wolfgang Gartner, The Bloody Beetroots, Felix Cartal, & more. They’ve also got no shortage when it comes to artists they’ve remixed themselves, such as Justice, Kylie Minogue, Katy Perry, Wolfmother, Metric, Bloc Party, & more. Plus if you’re a fan of Death From Above 1979, you won’t be surprised to see some edgy parallels in the sets since Keeler is an active member in both groups, although the two stand in completely separate genres.
