Jerry Folk releases a stunning future bass original ahead of his North American tour

Finding success in the music industry is hard. Not only do you have to build up a loyal following of fans, but you also have to ensure that your following translates into plays on SoundCloud, streams on Spotify, or album sales. Lastly, artists have to find a way to parlay this quantitative success into greater touring opportunities and studio sessions with collaborators before they can say that they truly made it.

Jerry Folk, one of Norway’s finest young stars, is on the cusp of breaking through as an artist. Since his debut a few years ago, Folk has garnered over 20 million streams on his SoundCloud, delivering a mix of funkified originals and groove-driven remixes that has been a hit with the masses. Now, he’s finally hitting the road, as he’s announced a brand new, 11-stop North American tour that kicks off this weekend at Coachella, or The Do Lab to be specific.

In addition to the announcement of his tour, Folk has unveiled his latest effort called “Been A While,” and while its a departure from his typical nu-disco style, the Norwegian sensation has proved that he has the ability to push the envelope creatively and deliver a stunning product. “Been A While” opens with lush harp melodies and sparkling drum patterns before Folk breaks the track down into a gritty, downtempo guitar riff that will have your mouth hitting the floor. Check it out below, and peep his full tour dates.
