Well, it’s officially that time of year again.

The lull in between festival seasons is at an all time high (much to the annoyance of me and basically anyone else who follows the scene) and Seattle’s own USC Events is passing the time with their annual St. Patrick’s Day themed massive — Lucky. Moving to a new venue from last year – the Tacoma Dome is about 40 minutes south of Seattle (the same location as Freaknight) – USC really needs to bring it to show that they can still host high quality events so far out of the Greater Seattle Area.

Dada Life is certain to have to the Tacoma Dome partying like never before come March 12

Lucky, one of USC Events most successful indoor massives, has a very diverse lineup this year. It will feature the highly anticipated Anjunabeats tour with the likes of Ilan Bluestone, Andrew Bayer, as well as crowd favorites Dada Life, Zomboy, and the Seattle debut of Ghastly. USC demonstrated that they have the potential to bring a high quality and diverse lineup to what many feel is an inferior venue to their staple location at the WaMu Theater. While announcing the full lineup at the highly touted and awesome venue of Foundation Nightclub (run by USC Events itself), many were in awe of how potentially great this night was shaping up to be.

At their previous event at the Tacoma Dome, the highly successful Freaknight 2015, there were a fair amount of issues that came with a huge move to a new venue; including long lines to get in the door and intense sound pollution in between the stages. USC certainly has their work cut out for them with this one. However, they have a great reputation of being able to iron out their issues very quickly and have shown massive improvement from one event to the next. Personally, I have faith that we are in for a great night at the Tacoma Dome come Friday, March 12, and cannot wait to see what USC Events and these great artists have in store.
