ZHU Premieres Official Video For Skrillex Collab. and Launches New Clothing Line, the “NIGHTDAY” Collection Michael ChengTuesday, November 24, 2015CultureNew MusicNews0 Comments Watch the music video here. Yesterday, ZHU premiered the official music video for his Skrillex collaboration; “Working For It.’ The animated video, created by Birdy Ben, is a composite of animated shorts that were sent to fans via GenerationWHY.com across 6 successive weeks of music releases. “Working For IT’ premiered today via The FADER Magazine. The resultant video is a sleekly animated noir that plays counterpoint to deep and dark bounce of the song’s warped horn section, the stark black, whites and eye-popping red accompanying the grooving melody. The video features everything you could want; intrigue, snipers, even some dope cameos from the titular artists. (SPOILERS: Skrillex in a helicopter. Like, whaaaat.) “Working For It” is part of ZHU’s critically acclaimed Genesis Series and is the last piece of his wildly popular and critically acclaimed body of work that features a stellar cast of collaborators including AlunaGeorge, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, Daniel Johns, A-Trak, Gallant and many more. Last week, the elusive, Grammy nominated artist sent a note direct to his fans explaining his inspiration behind the Genesis Series. Read his message here. The Genesis Series is available now as a complete bundle to download and stream worldwide, and is spearheaded by ZHU’s official single “Automatic” featuring AlunaGeorge, which has achieved Top 10 airplay at Dance radio and over 12 million streams to date. The Genesis Series has garnered more than 22 million combined streams and video plays in six weeks.
