Travor: Nuit Profonde 002 Garrett GomezFriday, November 13, 2015CultureDeep HouseHouseReviews0 Comments Trevor Moseley, known as Travor, has graciously given Electric Sloth a sneak peak at his latest DJ project: the second installment of Nuit Profonde. The mix includes releases from Escapsim Musique, Safari Numerique, Blackrose Records, Doppelgaenger, City Life, Superstitious, and more. It’ll go public on Monday, November 16th, but we were lucky enough to catch a glimpse ahead of time. Travor is a minimalist when it comes to his style, that’s not to say that he doesn’t put in copious amounts of effort, it simply means that it’s sharp and elegant. His mix embodies a distinct musical taste, after-hours, low-key, melodic house music that is both easy to chill with and great to dance to. The opening of the mix is sleek and stylish; “Chordo” by Matt Star is the first track, creating a smooth and steady wind in the night to begin our journey through the mix. Later, “The Essence Of House” by Josh Butler hits the mix and the vibe quickly transitions into the late night city where dancing underneath a half lit moon and the darkness of night invites you for more. The mix keeps classic deep house vibes throughout the middle and towards the end, the tracks become more emotive, replicating that feeling when the dawn begins but doesn’t quite reach its peak. “###” and “Urshada Shuffle” provide veritable punch in that transition of the mix. It closes with the idea that the end of the night is really just the beginning of a new adventure. “Pure Analog” by Old Boy takes the final spot on the mix and is a great track to encapsulate that feeling. Overall, this is one of the best deep house mixes I’ve listened to in a long time. Félicitations, Trevor, on the exceptional piece. .
