Two of rap’s greatest released some ‘Black Friday’ gifts for all of us this week. Kendrick Lamar dropped wild verses on top of 2014 Forest Hills Drive hit, “A Tale of 2 Citiez” while J. Cole rapped over To Pimp a Butterfly’s “Alright”.

Both tracks are titled, “Black Friday” and were released with no official explanation. Dreamville’s president Ibrahim Hamad tweeted that, “I didn’t do nothing but spark the idea but thanks for the love. End of the day I’m a fan just like you, I did because it’s fun for us fans.”

On J. Cole’s “Black Friday” he alludes to the rumored Kendrick and Cole collab saying, “When you and K. Dot dropping shit, Bitch never, they can’t handle two black niggas this clever, But this February, bet shit get scary when I fuck around and drop…” and leaves us hanging once again.

Take a listen to both tracks below, and pray that February hails the fabled duo’s collaboration.
