Leon Bridges is just what our generation needs. In a pop-single generation filled with sterile music, Leon Bridges reminded me of a time from the past, one filled with soul, conviction, and heart” says Alex Zhang, Managing Director of USC’s LavaLab and one of the very first to hear Leon Bridges perform live months ago when he played at the very exclusive “No Name Bar” in Los Angeles.

The humble Leon Bridges comes from the Dallas/Fort Worth area, and was a dishwasher at the time he first began pursuing his music career at open mic nights around the DFW area. Through a stroke of chance, a meeting took place between Austin Jenkins and Joshua Block of White Denim that led Leon Bridges to release “Coming Home” and “Better Man”. Shortly after his music emerged, he signed with Columbia Records and celebrated his album release with a special performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Since the release of his album, Coming HomeLeon Bridges has propelled himself towards the tops of the charts. Hitting #5 on the Album Chart and #6 on Top 200 Consumption Chart. Not to mention his further victories as #8 in the United Kingdom, #8 in Australia, and #5 in Canada. Leon Bridges is unique beyond belief. The New York Times has called him “riveting” and “timeless”, as well as “The Second Coming of Sam Cooke”. Many agree that he is ushering in a new generation as the singer/songwriter of this nearing decade. Leon Bridges unshakable lyrics and musical modesty will live on for the generations to come. We can only wait in further anticipation to see what else he can accomplish.

Leon Bridges’ 2015 North American Festival and Headline dates are already full through the end of the year.  For more information on his upcoming performances, please visit http://columbiarecords.us8.list-manage.com/track/click?u=b0e73cdbcc097fa26b1ca3940&id=09df5fb58a&e=d282fe3212
