Spinnin’ Deep’s future house phenoms, Mr. Belt and Wezol, have solidified their reputation as masters of the past. Since making their debut with their monstrous future house anthem, “Shiver,” Mr. Belt and Wezol have taken on a number of old school classics, like CeCe Peniston’s “Finally,” and turned them into present-day dance floor heaters, and now, Mr. Belt and Wezol is turning the clock back even further – to the 60’s – with their modern day revitalization of a rock and roll classic by Jefferson Airplane titled, “Somebody to Love.”

Grace Slick’s soulful vocals are front and center, as Mr. Belt and Wezol, alongside the emerging UK producer, Freejak, craft an energetic and uplifting synth melody and deep, booming bassline around the instantly-recognizable vocal of “don’t you want somebody to love.” As one of the most influential bands of the 60s, it’s only right that Jefferson Airplane gets a modern-day makeover, and there isn’t a better duo than Mr. Belt and Wezol and Freejak to take on the challenge. “Somebody to Love” is out now on Beatport.
