Electronic dance music is at its prime right now, and it is only going up. It’s going onto radio, it’s being played in commercials, and festivals are selling out because this generation cannot get enough of it. Coachella, Lollapalooza, and others have sold out in record time this year because music festivals are the go to trips for millennials. Billboard, a major influencer in all of music, continues to adapt and evolve to the modern landscape. They have now decided to get into the festival industry with Billboard Hot 100 Music Festival.

Taking place at the Nikon at Jones Beach Theatre on Long Island, NY, Billboard Hot 100 Music Festival will take place at the end of August right before everybody heads into fall. Although Justin Bieber, The Weeknd, Nicki Minaj, and more pop icons take over the majority of the lineup, EDM sees its moment with a massive appearance across the board. Skrillex takes the lead role on the first line of the lineup, while Axwell ^ Ingrosso and Kygo stand strong right behind him next to Lil Wayne and Jason Derulo.

To add some depth to dance music’s presence, party kings The Chainsmokers, tropical hotshot Matoma, progressive bigwig Michael Brun, and more will be there to keep the pop stars in check throughout the weekend. Billboard’s Hot 100 festival now opens tickets for purchase.
