The mark of a truly talented producer is the ability to differentiate yourself sonically, and experiment with different soundscapes to truly hone in on a style and elevate your production. Since his introduction to the scene a year ago, Sam Dobkins, better known as Trivecta, has willingly explored different sonic arenas in dance music, dabbling in trance, dubstep, future bass, and even a hybrid of the three with melodic trance-step, but even after expanding his horizons, Dobkins has made his return to trance. His last output, “Evaporate,” featuring Aloma Steele, was his first tried-and-true trance track, as he shed the bass-ier elements of dubstep and future bass in favor of the more emotional stylings of trance, and this new sonic frontier shines through in “Resurface.”

From the start, “Resurface” blasts you in the face with 150 bpms of pure trance goodness, as Dobkins starts with a punchy bass line before building it up with glimmering synth melodies. The introduction eventually lends itself to become an atmospheric orchestral arrangement that allows Roniit’s emotional vocals to take center stage. In a time where trance has started to fade, “Resurface” and Trivecta have come at the perfect time to champion it into the future. “Resurface” is up as a free download, so grab it here if you dig it as much as we do.
