It’s only June, but Oliver Heldens is having a monstrous year. The young Dutch virtuoso has experienced a meteoric rise in popularity, thanks to his groove-driven future house sound. His unique style of house music has thrust Heldens to the forefront of the future house movement, alongside Tchami, and he’s thrived in the spotlight. The future house flagbearer has racked up an absurd 5 Beatport #1 singles to his name, all before his 21st birthday, and you can be sure that he’s not stopping anytime soon. In 2015 alone, Heldens has delivered three stunning productions – “You Know” with Zeds Dead, “Melody,” and “Bunnydance,” and each of them has showcased a different aspect of his production. Now, he’s teamed up with Shaun Frank, the up-and-coming house producer responsible for “Time,” for a savvy, summertime hit, “Shades of Grey.”

With Delaney Jane on the vocals, “Shades of Grey” is the perfect fusion of the two talented producers’ styles. Shaun Frank infuses the track with his fresh and funky take on house music, a perfect complement to Oliver Heldens’ groove-saturated bass line. “Shades of Grey” is due out on June 22nd via Spinnin’ Deep, and you can peep the jam below.
