Pitchfork debuts acclaimed Australian artist/producer Flume’s new original track, “Some Minds” featuring Andrew Wyatt of Miike Snow, today. The video, directed by Clemens Habicht and choreographed by Australian Ballet member Callum Linnane, is the first ever music video filmed inside the iconic Sydney Opera House. “Some Minds” is out on all digital services via Mom + Pop Music.

The video, along with the track have an overwhelmingly long build up, giving the director plenty of room to work his creativity. The elegance of the Sydney Opera House makes this video unique not only to his previous videos, but to the entire music culture. While we still aren’t sure Flume was granted access to the Opera House or if he broke in, the ambiance definitely worked out in his favor.

The track will make its live debut this weekend at Future Classic’s tenth anniversary FCX shows as part of Vivid Live Festival, a highlight in Australia’s cultural calendar. The two shows, which sold out in 30 minutes, are the first ticketed events ever in the Sydney Opera House’s Northern Forecourt and will celebrate the label’s anniversary with performances from Flight Facilities, Seekae, George Maple, Hayden James, Touch Sensitive, Wave Racer and Charles Murdoch with Flume headlining each night.

While Flume has already released two new tracks in the past month, we’re excited to see what else he has in store to rock our ears for the summer ahead.
