To say we got an ounce of sleep before Friday’s epic events would be a complete lie…but it’s Vegas right? After getting a bit of food and a few drinks in us, we made our way over to Drai’s Beach Club for our first day event of Exodus Festival.

Drai’s Beach Club

Entering this pool paradise atop the Cromwell Hotel, was as though we had left Las Vegas and been transported to another dimension. With the DJ booth located just on the left hand side of the venue, it left plenty of space for the centralized pool structure and its surrounding tables, jacuzzi’s and cabanas. Meanwhile the surrounding walls (keeping everyone from falling off the roof) were made entirely out of glass, which really allowed for a beautiful Las Vegas backdrop. From the Eiffel Tower to the New York, New York rollercoaster – nothing was out of site. While it would have been nice to take a quick dip in the jacuzzi, we weren’t complaining as our tables were located directly behind the DJ booth. Laden with women wearing scandalous bikinis, chiseled men, and tons of fun in the sun – we almost thought we were prepped for what the night had in store. Boy, were we wrong.

Omnia Nightclub

As the sun fell on sin city, we took a quick nap and mustered up some energy for the legendary Armin van Buuren, and the equally as mind boggling Omnia nightclub. Covering 75,000 square feet, the three level venue has become Las Vegas’ latest hot spot – but not without reason. From the 22,000 pound chandelier, composed of eight oval rings moving in sync to the music, to the granite and stone shipped over seas from Spain, Italy, Hungary, Budapest & China – the Hakkasan group did not spare any expenses in Omnia’s construction. While I could continue to go into more and more detail about Ominia’s club within a club, the state of the art climate control technology, or the fact that the veranda was inspired by “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” you’ll have to see it to believe it.

Don’t feel bad, Armin takes selfies too

As our taxi pulled up to Caesars Palace, we noticed the line for Omnia literally wrapping around the block – having our Exodus passes handy, we walked right in. At around 1am, Armin van Buuren took the stage as everyone in Omnia entered his “State of Trance”. His insane energy and smiles really livened up the club. Crowd interaction is so vital when playing in front of thousands of people and Armin could not have done a better job doing so.  Oh let’s not forget his gesture controlled Myo armband that had Omnia firing off.  Yes, we said gesture controlled armband… Armin had the ability to control lighting, sound, basically anything he wanted too have altered.  Between his natural ability to produce perfection, and Omnia’s marching bands, storm troopers and acrobats bringing bottles from the ceiling, we are confident in saying Omnia Nightclub will be your new favorite destination.

Needless to say, Exodus day 2 was an absolute success. Be ready for more insanity to be posted and flood your mind with regret of not coming to such an epic event.
