Does the bass of Ganz and Mr. Carmack suit your style? How about the deep sounds of Amtrac and Jauz? Do the lighter sounds of Kygo and Pretty Lights tickle your fancy? Bonobo and Liquid Stranger? Coyote Kisses and DJ Harvey? Or do you need the destruction brought by Excision and Datsik? Whatever your taste in electronic music is, Shambhala Music Festival will have it all this year. Through six incredibly unique stages that are curated by their own respective stage directors, the festival is able to bring a massive diversity of artists from across genres and across the world. Returning for the 18th year, one of North America’s oldest festivals is set to take place August 7th through the 10th in Canada’s Salmo River Valley. Because each of the stages has their own director, distinct genres, sound systems, environments, and ambiance will be defined in Shambhala’s The Village, Fractal Forest, The Living Room, The Grove, Amphitheatre and Pagoda stages. Only one of the six stages is not permanent, and even so, it is considered an essential part of the festival. All of the beautifully curated stages are located in nature and utilize the forest they are surrounded by to give the festival a very immersive and engaging environment. With over 300 artists from dubstep to future bass, Shambhala is set to be one of the most exciting festivals of the year.
