Acclaimed Australian artist/producer Flume premiered a remix of Sam Smith’s global hit “Lay Me Down”, bringing us back to that washboard synth sound we know and love. What’s interesting about this track from his others is that he chose to begin without lyrics, letting the audience know exactly who they are dealing with. Similar to his remix of Lorde’s “Tennis Court”, Flume has reinforced a sound and style that is only unique to himself.

Flume spent the better part of last year touring worldwide, celebrating the runway success of his self-titled debut, out now on Mom + Pop Music. Having not released any material in over a half a year, this remix was highly anticipated and gave his audience exactly what they wanted. Flume has also confirmed an extensive run of international summer tour dates, including major festivals such as Sasquatch Music Festival, Governor’s Ball, Bonnaroo, Fuji Rock Festival and more. One of the most significant accomplishments of this year is his headlining spot for Lightning in a Bottle Festival this memorial day weekend.

We are very excited to see where Flume’s music will take us as this remix is only a preview of what’s to come.
