What a wonderful time of year it is.  The birds are chirping, the sun is shining (on the west coast at least), and Spring has sprung.  This weekend, we celebrate the true start of festival season with Ultra Music Festival 2015.

We’re talking about one of the most revered music festivals in the world; Ultra is without a doubt on par with Tomorrowland, Electric Daisy Carnival, and Coachella. It’s the SXSW of Dance Music.

To get the ball rolling, Ultra has one of the most impressive lineups this year, sporting names like Bassnectar, Carl Cox, Skrillex, Armin Van Buuren, and Axwell^Ingrosso (just to name a few).

Luckily for those of you who will not be able to make it out to Miami this weekend for the event, we will be on site to cover the event.  Throughout the event, we will be live streaming our experiences from our Twitter account (@electricslothed) through Meerkat.  You’ll be able to live vicariously through us as we interview various artists (TBD) and experience the event from a first person perspective.

What We’re Excited For:

The Resistance Stage-  We’re talking about a massive, evil-looking, fire spitting stage design created by the people that designed The Spider featured at Glastonbury.  Here, some of the biggest names in house music are playing, including the festival debut of Get Real (the supergroup duo of Green Velvet and Claude Vonstroke).  Here’s what you can expect:

Artists- It’s not secret that we’re huge fans of bass music over at Electric Sloth, but we still managed to put together a decently diverse schedule. Here’s the list of people we’re excited to see this weekend:

Other Stage Designs: In years past, Ultra has outdone themselves with a colorful display of LEDs and large structural installations whether it be the main stage or the infamous mega structure.  We’re not entirely sure what to expect, but you can bet your ass it’s gonna be cool. Here’s a few shots from previous years:

The Live Stream: Although we will be on site enjoying Ultra’s offerings this weekend, you’re still able to experience the famous Ultra Live Stream.  This year, they’ve partnered with Twitch.tv to provide you with the opportunity to experience as much of Ultra as possible from the comfort of your living room HERE.

We’re excited to be covering Ultra Music Festival for the first time, and we want to thank you, our readers, for supporting us through this journey.  We wouldn’t be here without you, and we will do everything we can to bring you guys the best possible coverage! Keep up with us throughout the weekend on Instagram (@electricsloth) and Twitter (@electricslothed). It’s our first time live streaming, and we’re really excited!
