Jauz is the moniker of the 21 year old LA-based producer, Sam Fogel. Recently, he dropped a heavy breaks remix of Nacey’s “I Own It ft. Angel Haze” on Casablanca Records.

The track showcases his signature grime bass and a break beat that is set to galvanize dance floors everywhere. The solo project has been making waves with his remix of A$AP Mob‘s “Hella Hoes” and his powerful original track, “Feel The Volume”.

The Jauz creed: “music has no boundaries” — an apparent rebellion against the limits of genre on creativity. This view is becoming more and more prominent with the rising desire for fresh and interesting sounds in the electronic music scene. His eclectic style has gained the respect of fans and artists alike, and gained the support of heavyweights such as “Zedd, Skrillex, Diplo, Borgore, Arty, Dillon Francis, Flosstradamus, Carnage, Destructo, Destroid, Excision, Dj Snake, Oliver Heldens and more”.

Insomniac’s new Metronome Series, recently featured a mix and interview with the promising artist. In the interview, he divulges his experience as a graduate of the music production school Icon Collective, saying that “getting to sit in the studio with dudes like Protohype and MAKJ and just watch them work and ask questions was pretty invaluable.” He also speaks on dropping out of college and how it has shaped him, stating that “Contrary to popular belief, college really isn’t for everyone…”

Currently Jauz is working on an official remix for Kiezsa and a lot of his music is downloadable fo’ free on his Facebook. Keep an eye on his social media for upcoming shows and new tracks. Sam Fogel is going places and the whole scene can see it.
