As we walked through the doors at Petco’s: Park in the Park, we really didn’t know what to expect from the location or the performers. I personally hadn’t seen any of them other than the most anticipated artist of the night, Alesso.

Producer/DJ Moska, born in Cali, Colombia, was second up on the decks. Moska is still an up and coming Electro-House producer who is making some big moves these days with the likes of Tiësto, Calvin Harris, Laidback Luke and more. His set was a combination of Moombah, Electro-House drops, and all sorts of melodies that just made you want to bounce up and down. He also included a couple Daft Punk & Lincoln Parks loops that absolutely blew my mind.  Moska of course finished off his set with some classic new-era house bangers. Moska may still be a name that you don’t know yet but keep any eye out for this guy! He’s going to be HUGE!

Next up was Deorro. I was informed by some of my team that his set may be one of the best of the night. He started it off with very high energy and kept that throughout. With his signature Melbourne House sound, he rocked the decks and the crowds with with ease. Deorro also threw in some classics jams from Justice and Eurythmics which were stellar. His set was very hard hitting at points, and definitely dropped into some trap too! Nearing the end of his set it seemed as though he had assistance from a few other members of his team. You my have noticed Deorro wearing a panda shirt. He also has a clothing brand: PandaFam which him and his crew were repping hard, on and off stage. Keep an eye out for him and his upcoming brand!

Then, as all the lights finally came on the 22 year old, Alesso, made his appearance on stage. The crowd went wild! He gave San Diego some love then started his set off with some hard hitting progressive house. You can absolutely tell that he has definitely taken some influence from his mentor and friend, Sebastian Ingrosso, as they both have a very similar, familiar sound made famous by SHM. Combining almost mesmerizing female vocals with house drops, CO2 cannons and such lively and energetic, music Alesso is not one to miss! As his set progressed, he continued to play  more and more popular songs as the crowd got even more and more engaged. As the rain began to hit the pretty hard, no one seemed to worry – the party went on. As always, he saved the best for last and absolutely left our team, and everyone there, wanting more.

Make sure not to miss Alesso and his friends on his next tour stop in your city!
