Within the last 3 months, Tommie Sunshine & Live City have collaborated together to make some of the catchiest and best remixes of songs that have been released in a while. This writer has never heard of either artist until he was on the shuttle bus to EDC Day 3 when the person behind him started playing a few of their tracks. It’s safe to say that the ride to the venue¬†immediately¬†got better, and it opened up a world of untapped music ever since.

First up is their remix of smash hit “Safe and Sound” by Capital Cities. The original track is taking the radio by storm being played on virtually every major radio station in the Los Angeles Area, and all over the world. Making a remix of one of the break out singles of the year was a brilliant move for their career, because this track is getting played all over festivals.

A fan favorite collaboration of these two is their rework of “Sierra Leone” by Mt. Eden. They transformed the classic Dubstep tune into a bounce masterpiece that I can’t stop listening to. It may be the nostalgia of reliving a classic, but I’m a big fan of the direction they went with this tune. At Paradiso I heard Mt. Eden themselves drop it, so even the original artist liked their spin on it.

Just released yesterday by the two is a brand new remix of Steve ‘Silk’ Hurley’s “The World is Love”. This track starts off a little slow, but really picks up into a bounce house track that has a killer and unique beat to it.

It will be exciting to see what else these artists will be coming out with, but until then they have plenty of music out on their respective soundclouds, and it is all available to purchase on Beatport.
