For those who have not heard of Destroid, it can only be described as such; the most influential and groundbreaking supergroup in the history of dubstep. Destroid was founded in 2010 by Excision, who was joined by fellow Canadian dubstepper Downlink, and the former drummer of Pendulum, KJ Sawka, but was only revealed to the public around four months ago with the song, ‘Raise Your Fist’.

Now, they have announced the upcoming release of a full length debut album, ‘Invasion’, which is up on iTunes and features collaborations with Bassnectar, Space Laces, Messinian, Far Too Loud, and Ajapai. The album is due for release on May 7th, and Excision will be hosting an ‘Ask Me Anything’ session on Reddit at 5 P.M. Pacific Standard Time the day of the release.

The setlist for ‘Invasion’ is as follows:

  1. Excision, Downlink, Space Laces – Destroid 1 Raise Your Fist
  2. Excision, Downlink, Space Laces – Destroid 2 Wasteland
  3. Excision, Downlink, Space Laces – Destroid 3 Crusaders
  4. Excision – Destroid 4 Flip The Switch
  5. Downlink – Destroid 5 Activation
  6. Excision & Bassnectar – Destroid 6 Put It Down
  7. Excision & Space Laces – Destroid 7 Bounce
  8. Excision & Far Too Loud –┬áDestroid 8 Annihilate
  9. Excision & Ajapai – Destroid 9 Blast Off
  10. Excision & Space Laces – Destroid 10 Funk Hole

Destroid is set to start their tour May 31st, where Electric Sloth will be covering their first ever concert and interviewing the trio before they set off to play at the Moonrise Festival, Orion Festival, and Camp Bisco. Their live setup is not something to miss either. Destroid Live will feature Excision and Downlink rocking customized midi guitars and KJ Sawka jamming out on his midi drumset (he has posted pictures of it on his Facebook).
